On Friday, the Supreme Court of Nigeria affirmed Peter Mbah’s election as governor of Enugu State.
All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Uche Nnaji had an appeal denied.
The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that Nnaji and his party had provided an insufficient brief of argument, thereby dismissing their appeal.
The court also found that Nnaji did not provide any justification for using the invalid process he filed to overturn Mbah’s victory.
According to NDIIGBOWORLDWIDE’s July reporting, Nnaji’s case against Mbah was dismissed by the Court of Appeal in Enugu.
Nnaji had contested Mbah’s election as governor, claiming that he had not been elected by a majority of valid ballots.
