Igboebinie Project has taken up the responsibility of promoting Ufiejioku Global Festival as a way of preserving Igbo Cultural Heritage. The festival will be celebrated globally in all Igbo communities now on every 2nd Saturday of September. This year’s Ufiejioku Global Festival will be on Saturday,14th September, 2024. Irefi Oraifite, UK, Germany, USA, Lagos, Awka Etiti, Abatete etc are ready for this year’s Ufiejioku Festival.
Ufiejioku is a Thanksgiving Festival For Labour. It is a joyous expression of gratitude to Almighty Chukwu for His Grace and Mercy in production and harvest in various trades, professions and occupations in Igboland. Yam as king of crops in Igboland is used as symbol of this harvest.
As the igbo adage say ” Etoo Dike Na Nke Omelu Ome Ozu .”
Every Community in Igboland is encouraged to organize the festival annually to encourage unity, peace and prosperity of such community.
