PRESS RELEASE!!! IGBO THINK HOME INVESTMENT AND DEVELOPMENT (Think Home, Invest Home And Develop Home)
In memory of the Think Home Philosopher
Late Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezife, (Okwadike Ndi Igbo) When in 1991, during his Inaugural Speech as the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Late Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezefife, espoused the philosophy of Think Home, as the title of the said Inaugural Speech, many did not take him serious.
But today, the need to actualize that philosophy has done stare us at the face. The humiliation,
destruction of properties of Ndi Igbo and even consequent loss of life are the
reminder of the prophetic speech by Okwadike at that inaugural ceremony.
This is the brain behind the clarion call of Igbo Think-Home Investment and
Development. It is therefore a child of the Think Home Philosopher of Late Dr.
Chukwuemeka Ezife, (Okwadike Ndi Igbo). Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development is a new investment delivery initiative with a strategy for promoting quality developmental projects in Alaigbo/Igbo Nation, in response to making investments competitive and attractive.
It is a developmental strategy in Alaigbo without border to states, religious or
partisan political affiliation. It is also commitment to transforming Alaigbo into a
tourism nation and Dubai of Africa.
Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development is initiated to immortalize the
indelible achievement of our departed heroes and heroines, who fought for the
welfare and wellness of Ndi Igbo in developmental stride, likes of Late Akanu Ibiam,
Late Michael I. Okpara, Late Nnamdi Azikiwe, Late Sam Onunaka Mbakwe, Late
Mbazulike Amaechi, Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu, and Late Dr.
Chukwuemeka Ezife, among others.
Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development is committed to amplify the
cries of some our compatriots to invest in Alaigbo. In 1999, when the Late Dr.
Chukwuemeka Ezife (Okwadike) was elected the Executive Governor of Anambra
state, he captioned his inaugural Later, commentators home philosophy? Ndi Igbo are unique species that derive pleasure in developing
other places to the detriment of their home. It has become so rampant and worry-
some that every Igbo visionary leader cries on the deaf ear of our Igbo entrepreneur
to think home come back home and invest- stop filling outside with the sand inside
your house.. And Ojukwu wept.
This could be the best caption of what happened at Trade Fare
Business Complex in Lagos state when Igbo Businessmen in Lagos invited him to
commission the Trade Fare Business Complex, arguably one of the biggest business
clusters in Africa, built by Igbo businessmen in Lagos.
Like the prophet he was, he cried on the folly and craving of Ndi Igbo in developing
other people’s place to the detriment of their place and the danger therein.
Today it rudely reminded today that we are the most foolhardy species on the earth through
thoughtless demolition of most of our properties private homes, shops and stores,
plazas and even entire markets where Ndi Igbo have developed for very flimsy
reasons. Rich Ndi Igbo is making many visible and practical efforts to develop their home.
Groups are springing up with serious and sincere efforts to come back home.
Infrastructures are also springing up in the south-east, and good road networks are
very imperative for this renaissance, revitalization and consciousness to come home.
South East governments are pleased and enjoined to assist Ndi Igbo to achieve this
renewed consciousness to develop Igbo land by providing critical infrastructure
roads, cargo airports, sea ports, power and enabling environment such in the process
of land acquisition ease of doing business. There should also be coordination among many groups and interests springing up in
the South -East so that there will be conflict and commotion.
We join all well-meaning individuals all the world in paying deserved tribute to Okwadike, May your philosophy of Think Home never die in our hearts and
actions.
REST IN PEACE, GREAT PATRIOT!!!
