Lawmakers in the Abia Assembly Will Receive Specials Cars From Innoson
As part of Governor Alex Otti’s push to support indigenous products in order to boost the Nigerian economy, Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly Emmanuel Emeruwa announced that Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company will build and deliver special brand official vehicles to members of the Abia State House of Assembly.
Additionally, the speaker said that the domestic automaker would set up a service facility in Aba, the state’s commercial hub.

Following his delegation of Abia State House of Assembly members to Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Vehicles, the 8th Abia Assembly Speaker revealed this in a statement on Wednesday. He explained that their conversation was focused on the ongoing production of the special brand vehicles for the lawmakers and that he had received assurances that the vehicles would be delivered in April.
The speaker said: “I took Chief Innocent Chukwuma, CEO of Innoson Vehicles, to his home in Nnewi, Anambra State, yesterday as part of a delegation from the Abia State House of Assembly.
The production of official vehicles under a particular brand for the 24 members of the Abia State House of Assembly was the main topic of discussion. We were given guarantees that we would have these 24 official cars by April of 2024.
“To promote the growth of the Naira, the current Abia State Government is steadfast in its commitment to supporting locally produced goods.
It is an honor for the members of the Abia State House of Assembly to employ Innoson Vehicles’ goods, and we are proud of their efforts. And in response to Governor Alex Otti’s request, Innoson Vehicles has chosen to open a service plant in Abia State, thanks to the patronage and extraordinary support of the Abia State administration led by Dr. Alex C. Otti.
Furthermore, Aba will serve as a hub for Innoson Vehicles’ conversion of automobiles to compressed natural gas (CNG).
“This visit was strategically important because it demonstrates the current Abia State House of Assembly’s dedication to supporting locally produced goods, which is crucial for the Naira’s growth and the expansion of the Nigerian economy overall.”
