
UN Representative Applauds Governor Otti’s Progress in Abia and Offers UNDP Assistance
Support for the development achievements of the State under Governor Alex Otti has been voiced by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

During a meeting with the Abia First Lady and her team at the UN Commission on the Status of Women, Ms. Ahunna Eziakonwa-Onochie, UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Assistant Administrator, expressed delight at the state’s growth.
She discussed how the UNDP intended to help Abia achieve sustainable growth, especially by bringing new technology to the country’s shoe sector.
She said that the goal of this program is to increase exports and raise awareness of Aba-made goods worldwide.
Ms. Eziakonwa-Onochie also promised that the UNDP will keep supporting the state government’s programs for women’s empowerment.
Priscilla Otti, the governor’s wife, thanked the UN for its assistance and repeated her husband’s pledge to carry out his development goals and campaign pledges. Important advisors who dealt with women’s issues, poverty alleviation, and vulnerable populations joined her.
