Ohanaeze To Proscribe Isiguzo And Two Academics For Their Anti-Igbo Actions
On Wednesday, Ohanaeze Ndígbo Worldwide said that the pan-Igbo group will report Okechukwu Isiguzo and three other individuals to Ime Obi for their anti-Igbo activities, and Ime Obi would decide on suitable disciplinary measures against them. Ohanaeze’s top decision-making body is called Ime Obi.

Isiguzo started this act when Ohanaeze had two sections, and he is now claiming to be the Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. NdiIgboworldwide learned that one Engr Ibe, the former head of the now-defunct group, had subsequently sworn allegiance to Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu’s mainstream Ohanaeze.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Nation Executive Council met at the Ohanaeze Secretariat in Enugu, where a determination to penalize Isiguzo was reached.
Shortly after the NEC meeting, Chief Iwuanyanwu spoke to the media and bemoaned the harm Isiguzo was causing in Igbo territory.
He declared, “Prof George Obiozor, the former president general of Ohanaeze, moved to court and obtained an injunction prohibiting Isiguzo from representing Ohanaeze as secretary general. First of all, Isiguzo is ineligible to make such a claim because he did not take part in the election.
It is shown that because Isiguzo is always concealing, attempts to serve him with the court restraining order were never successful.
He expressed concern that Isiguzo had turned his anti-Igbo actions into lucrative endeavors and expressed amazement that the press continued to cover Isiguzo’s activities in spite of proof that he was a forger.
He said that Isiguzo and his allies were impeding Ohanaeze‘s attempts to bring forth an Igbo revival, and that this impatience ultimately resulted in the passing of former Ohanaeze PG Prof. George Obiozor.
He recalled the day when Isiguzo approached him, pleading for N50 million to treat an unidentified illness, and linked his anti-Igbo actions to his unemployment. But, Chief Iwuanyanwu declared that if he changed his ways, he would be forgiven.
“I’m the father of all, and he still remains my son,” he said. However, I’m really saddened that threats will come my way. I’m in a terrible situation with Isiguzo. Still, I am committed to serving Ndígbo, as I did both in my business and throughout the conflict.
Chief Iwuanyanwu responded to claims that he would ask the Fulani for forgiveness for the murder of Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa during the coup on January 15, also known as the “Igbo coup,” by saying, “Professor Obasi Igwe and Harvey Igwù circulated fake voice notes against me.” As someone who participated in the war, I have always maintained that the coup was a military operation rather than an Igbo one. Aguiyi Ironsi, an Igbo general, interfered, which is another reason it failed. The North killed our people. How come I should ask the Fulani? Instead, Nigeria need to implore Ndígbo. Harford Ugwu expressed regret. However, it was only a gathering of those who desired to harm me.
“I didn’t take N100bn as they claimed,” Iwuanyanwu remarked in reference to the purported N100 billion bribe he received from Fulanis in order to arrange the apologies. I’m curious as to how someone could accept such.
He issued a warning about the fallout from the way certain Igbo clique members are discrediting Igbo leaders. He remembered the bombing of the rural residences of the late Prof. George Obiozor, a former Ohanaeze PG, and Chief Nnia Nwodo, the previous Ohanaeze President General.
Chief Iwuanyanwu has been ordered by the Ohanaeze NEC to send Imeobi Ohanaeze the names of Isizugo, Harford Þgwù, Prof. Obasi Igwe, and professor Nwankwo Nwaezeigwe so that they can face disciplinary action, which may include exclusion.
Chief Iwuanyanwu claimed that Nwaezeigwe was responsible for the N100 billion scandal, even though Ùgwù and Obasi Igwe were purportedly responsible for spreading the voice memo in which Iwuanyanwu was said to have demanded an apology at an Ohanaeze retreat at Enugu Government House.
