The governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, has received pressure from the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to abandon his intentions to build a cattle ranch at Nimbo in the Uzowani town inside the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
This was revealed by IPOB in a statement released on Monday by Emma Powerful, the organization’s media and publicity secretary.
Remember how the community members protested last week over the governor’s proposal to establish a ranch for the Fulani herdsmen?

A Cattle Ranch In South East
The widows of the people slain by ranchers in 2016 poured into the streets in a protest against the government for what they saw as “wickedness.”
With photographs of the caskets used for their husbands’ mass burial, the ladies marched through the streets while sobbing and screaming, “Nimbo doesn’t want Ruga, Nimbo doesn’t want cattle, Nimbo doesn’t want Ranch.”
IPOB stated that it “is monitoring Governor Peter Mbah and his collaborators” in response to the situation on Monday. They should be aware that anyplace in Enugu State, IPOB would not permit the construction of a deadly camp for jihadist Fulanis under the guise of a cow ranch.
“An Igbo businessman must privately oversee the cattle ranch if Governor Peter Mbah is sincere about building one in Enugu State. In all of Igbo territory, cattle ranches are exclusively owned by Ndigbo people. We do not want any cattle ranches in Alaigbo to be run by violent Fulanis.Fulani herders had best go get their money back if they had paid Dr. Peter Mbah or any other traditional leader for a piece of land in Enugu State.
“We are also advising South East Governors to reject any notion of constructing cattle ranches in any state in the Southeast region,” the statement continued.
“Any Fulani camp established in any state within the Biafra territory under the guise of a cattle ranch will not be tolerated by the Operatives of the IPOB and ESN.”
