S’East Needs Infrastructure, Not Ministerial Seats

According to the Constitution, it is explicitly stated that there shall be one ministerial appointment per state. The decision regarding the number of ministers is within the purview of the President. In my perspective, these matters hold minimal significance.

What is of utmost importance is to determine the specific types of projects that are most needed in our current context, and to devise effective strategies for acquiring them. Additionally, it is crucial to assess whether we possess the appropriate personnel to handle these projects, considering the recent appointments. What strategies can be implemented to facilitate the initiation of development projects, particularly capital projects, in this region? These projects should aim to promote both youth empowerment and employment opportunities.

The importance of this matter cannot be overstated. The quantity of ministers in your possession does not guarantee the acquisition of an additional motorway in this location. Firstly, I would like to inquire about the frequency of lobbying activities that occurred during the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

However, it has come to our attention that despite the Senate’s repeated approval and affirmation of the completion of various road projects, there are still several instances where these projects remain unfinished. The funds were allocated to private individuals, referring to the financial resources designated for the reconstruction of the Enugu-Onitsha highway and the Second Niger Bridge.

Did we have a total of 10 ministers in place prior to obtaining the necessary approvals for capital projects, such as the reconstruction of the International Airport in Enugu? It is imperative that we prioritise our efforts towards identifying and addressing the needs and interests of our local community.

This entails a strategic approach to capital projects, ensuring that we secure an equitable allocation of resources and foster our own growth and progress within this region. Ensuring security is of paramount importance and should be our primary focus.

Regarding the capital projects undertaken in the past eight years, it is worth noting that certain initiatives had not been considered in this region for a period exceeding 45 to 50 years. I would like to discuss the potential expansion of the International Airport, the construction of the Second Niger Bridge, the reconstruction of the Enugu-Onitsha highway, and the Enugu/Port-Harcourt highway.

Was the previous action sufficient to garner the requisite number of votes, assuming you are referring to securing the necessary support for the party in this particular location? There is a need for a shift in the mindset of our society. The present political leaders have not demonstrated the ability to reflect on historical perspectives.

One must possess knowledge of the rules in order to participate in the game. Our success in business can be attributed to our strong apprenticeship programmes in commerce and industry. In fact, many countries are now showing interest in studying the Igbo community’s methods of capital generation and economic development in commerce and trade.

When entering into an apprenticeship, individuals are required to sign an apprenticeship agreement. Upon completion of four to five years of service under a skilled master, the master may facilitate the establishment of a business for the apprentice and provide the necessary capital to initiate operations. This programme is an Igbo entrepreneurship initiative that has garnered international attention, with numerous countries visiting our country to study its effective implementation. In the realm of politics, there is often a reluctance to delve into the intricacies of the processes at play. Have you conducted an investigation to ascertain the reasons behind Azikiwe’s success in garnering votes in Lagos?

It is worth noting that Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, an individual of Igbo descent, emerged victorious in the election for the Western House of Assembly. Our itinerant tribe possesses the capability to foster friendship and a sense of belonging. Less than 40 percent of individuals of Igbo ethnicity reside within the geographical boundaries of Igbo land, while over 60 percent are dispersed across various regions.

The majority of this population can be found in the Northern part of Nigeria, with others residing in the Western region, as well as in various locations throughout Africa and Singapore. Please proceed to the location where you will find a significant presence of individuals from the Igbo ethnic group who are actively contributing to the advancement and progress of the region.

When faced with challenges in Malaysia, particularly in the areas related to Ohanaeze, it became necessary for us to dispatch a team to address and resolve these issues. The local stakeholders expressed their satisfaction upon receiving our team.

Peace, unity, and progress are deeply ingrained in our culture and tradition, regardless of our location. What are the reasons for the anticipated increase in challenges in this situation? Please observe the prevailing level of insecurity within this location.

Our brother, Nnamdi Kanu, is currently in detention. He has clarified that he never advocated for any acts of violence within the Igboland region in relation to the Biafra cause he was advocating for. He has expressed this sentiment multiple times, wherein individuals are exploiting the situation to engage in criminal activities, particularly heinous crimes and acts of banditry.

Consequently, there is a growing perception among certain individuals that if others are able to engage in illicit activities through manipulation, why should they not resort to physical theft as well? This line of thinking is influenced by the fact that political appointments are considered highly lucrative, with sig

The subsequent matter pertains to acquiring the entirety of the land in that location and constructing a castle utilising public funds. Has there been any inquiry regarding the allocation and utilisation of the funds received by the local government? There is a prevailing focus on Abuja, but it would be prudent to prioritise addressing issues within our own immediate environment first.

The issue does not lie externally; rather, it resides within ourselves in this context. Upon my initial foray into the realm of politics, my primary objective was to gain a comprehensive understanding of its inner workings. However, as time progressed, I found myself engrossed in the affairs at hand. It was during this period that Edwin Umezoke, in a somewhat disapproving manner, questioned my preoccupation with the passing of time, referring to certain individuals as “small boys.”
