UMUAHIA: Chinalu Ogbonna, a 27-year-old male, is accused of killing Maduka Ogbonna, his father, and amputating his left eye.

According to information obtained by Ndi Igbo Worldwide, the event took place in a complex next to Junior Secondary School, Amuzukwu, in Umuahia North council on Monday around midnight.

Ndi Igbo Worldwide has learned that the suspect, who was apprehended by the local youth, admitted to wanting to exploit his dad for ceremonial purposes, even if the exact cause of the event is still unclear.

Text messages and calls to ASP Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the Abia State Command, were not received.
