Abia: Dr Osita Igbe Appointed as College of Health Rector

Dr. Osita Igbe has been named the new rector of the Abia State College of Health Sciences and Management, Aba, by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.

Dr Osita Igbe, a former chairman of the Isuikwuato LGA and a university lecturer, will take over for Madukolam Nwogwugwu.

Ikpeazu in a statement signed by Barr Chris Ezem, Secretary to the State government, said the appointment was with immediate effect.

Maduakolam Nwogwugwu was appointed last month by the Governor.

On the last Rector of Abia State College of Health and Management Technology

Recall that the former Rector of College of Health and Management Technology, Aba, Prof Chigbu Lawrence was suspended on 14th of March 2023.

However, no details or explanations were given by the state government as to the reason behind the sack of the ex-Rector, Prof Chigbu Lawrence.
