In Anambra, a gunrunner abandons seven pump action rifles.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, a well-known gunrunner who cannot be identified was compelled to give up his seven pump action rifles in Onitsha, Anambra State. A bag held the seven brand-new Jojef magnum pump action guns.

According to reports, the gunrunner abandoned the bag and fled when he saw the police setting up an ambush at the designated spot on Creek Road in Onitsha.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state police public relations officer, affirmed this.
He claimed that the breakthrough resulted from the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, using tactful policing techniques and practical intelligence to thwart criminal plans, “especially on the intel received overtime about planned attacks by unlawful group/secessionists to enforce illegal sit-at-home on 30th May 2024.”
A manhunt for the gang and the infamous gunrunner has been spearheaded by CP Itam in the interim. In order to help the police continue to thwart the nefarious intentions of non-state actors operating in the state, he asked Anambra citizens to constantly furnish them with pertinent security information.
