The Enugu State Rural Electrification Board, in conjunction with the State Ministry of Rural Development, Chieftancy affairs and Local Government is inviting all the community and political leaders to a scoping exercise in all the communities in Enugu State that need electricity.
This is coming as the State Government has identified, scoped, and is working on modalities to commence physical work on the 128 communities with varying electricity needs.
This exercise is aimed at identifying the status of electricity supply in each community of Enugu State for evaluation, fiscal planning, and project implementation.
This directive was issued by His Excellency, Governor Peter Mbah, in line with his administration’s desire to develop and empower rural communities for enhanced livelihood and productivity.
All interested communities are, by this announcement, urged to contact the Enugu office of the State Rural Electrification Board for the proper survey, design, and general scoping of the communities.
The one month exercise starts from Monday 3rd September and ends on 2nd October 2023.
