ENUGU: sixteen people were severely burnt in an Enugu road accident.

Along the Enugu-Egwegbe-Nsukka road in Enugu State, there was a catastrophic car accident that left sixteen people completely burned.

Tuesday evening at approximately 5:20 p.m., an 18-seater white Toyota hummer bus bearing the commercial registration number DAS 215 XA from Bauchi State and the words “Masha Allah” was involved in an accident.

The vehicle’s fast speed and lack of control, which caused it to crash into Maduka University’s barrier, were blamed for the accident.

The incidence was confirmed by DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the public relations officer for the Enugu State Police.

According to a preliminary assessment, the car regrettably caught fire and burned unrecognizably. After being brought to the hospital, the sixteen dead people were declared officially dead.

“However, police officers, soldiers, and civic-minded individuals who responded to the incident right away managed to rescue two other passengers alive and transport them to the hospital for medical attention.”

THE WHISTLER states that the car was traveling from the Enugu axis of the road towards Nsukka while carrying edible veggies, other food items, and the occupants’ bags.

“The precise point of takeoff and final destination of the vehicle have not been determined,” stated the PPRO. Nevertheless, the Igbo-Etiti Police Division has located the things.

In the meantime, Federal Road Safety Corps representatives and Commissioner of Police CP Kanayo Uzuegbu visited the scene and expressed sadness over the accident and the resulting deaths.

He expressed his sympathy to the deceased’s unidentified friends, family, and associates and urged anyone with information that could lead to the identification of the victims or aid locate the deceased’s family members to come forward.
