Mr. Emeka Ezeh, who is in charge of corporate communications at EEDC, made the request while giving news reporters in Enugu the company’s Christmas message on Saturday.
Ezeh said that it was important for individuals and communities to keep an eye on electricity installations and infrastructure so that customers could continue to get good service from EEDC during the holidays.
He did, however, reassure customers that the company’s technical teams would be on hand over the holidays to fix any problems that might come up. He also said that the company had made sure its technical teams had the tools they needed to do their jobs.
The EEDC spokesman also encouraged customers with outstanding arrears to take advantage of the arrears one-time settlement (OTS) scheme, which ends on December 31, 2022, and get a 30% discount.
He said, “The OTS Scheme is a programme started by EEDC to help customers pay off their past-due bills.”
“This discount plan is open to commercial and residential customers, bulk communities, and customers with and without metres.”
“Customers of EEDC are also encouraged to use the company’s innovative service support channels to make their experience a pleasant one.” Some of these are the EEDC Connect app and the Energy Pay service.
Ezeh also wished the company’s customers a happy Christmas and a successful New Year and assured them that they would get good service before, during, and after the holidays.
“We thank our valued customers for their help and cooperation throughout the year, and we want them to know that the company is ready to keep improving its services,” he said.
