According to reports, the structure—which was intended to function as a market when finished—collapsed on Monday night at around eight o’clock in the evening, leaving some of the workers inside.
People in the neighborhood and onlookers alike were in a frenzy as they tried to free the stranded victims from the debris.
As of Tuesday, when this report was filed, a source close to the scene reported that rescue efforts were still underway and that one person was thought dead, leaving two others with varied degrees of injuries.
