Anambra CP visits family of policeman killed in accident

Mr. Aderemi Adeoye, commissioner of the Anambra State Police, has paid a visit to the family of a police officer killed in a vehicle accident in Enugwu-Ukwu last week.

The police officer, ASP Anthony Ogbodo, was struck off his motorcycle by a shuttle driver. After being transported to the hospital for treatment, he passed away.

DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, spokesman for the Anambra State Police Command, disclosed that Adeoye visited and prayed with the family.

Ikenga stated, “CP Adeoye prayed that God would grant them the fortitude to bear the loss and assured them that justice would be swiftly administered for his untimely death.”

Adeoye stated in an interview with journalists a week ago that boosting the morale of his troops contributed to the success of his command administration.

He also praised the inspector general for assuring the welfare of police officers.
