
President Bola Tinubu has ordered that, during the next two to three years, millions of people, particularly young people, be educated in technological skills.
Bosun Tijani, the minister of communications, innovation, and the digital economy, made the announcement at the Sustainable Development Goals Media Zone in New York City on the eve of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
In his talk titled “How to Promote Poverty Eradication in Developing Countries,” he stressed the need of leveraging digital technology to boost productivity as a means to combat global poverty.
Bosun said the administration is concentrating on agriculture (food security) and other vital areas because of the need to use technology to address several problems.
The President (Tinubu) has ordered us to train a million technical skills in Nigeria within the next two to three years,” he stated.
Tinubu has ordered that all talented people be given computer instruction.
