Alaigbo Achievers Legacy also known as The Great Igbo Achievers, is a Home- driven and delivery Investment Organisation, empowered in line with the “Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Philosophy of Ndigbo Narue Ulo and Build a Home”, to promote good societal values and right ideals in the Igbo Nation.
The Great Igbo Achievers was conceptualized mainly to:
1. Adequately and constructively examine landmark achievements and signature legacy projects of State
Governors, members of the National Assembly, Notable individuals of Alaigbo/Igbo speaking States for recognition and Excellent Award.
2. Honour Ndigbo of proven integrity, hard work, dedication – people who have set up industries and business empires to provide employment and boost the economy of Alaigbo/Igbo speaking States.
3. People who have invested heavily in their states by building durable roads, awarding of scholarships, rural electrification, building of factories and industries, which provided job opportunities youths and increased the revenue profile of their states.
It is duly registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Abuja, and empowered by the government of Nigeria for the recognition of individuals and corporate organizations towards excellence. The Great Igbo Achievers is organized biannually to celebrate and accredit the landmark and uncommon achievements of captains of industries and accomplished entrepreneurs of Alaigbo.
We are adequately committed to ensure that men and women who rendered selfless and noteworthy services to their states and indeed the entire Igbo Nation are initiative that seeks to immortalize the indelible achievements of indigenous Ndigbo and honor prestigious individuals, the 1st eleven’s in their various fields of Endeavor.
Vision: An Igbo Nation turned into Dubai of Africa by purpose-driven investors from Igbo extraction.
Mission: To promote, validate and grant meritorious award to eminent Ndigbo sons and daughters who rendered invaluable services to their states in various capacities with a view to encouraging others to emulate them and invest their wealth in the Igbo Nation as well.
Policy: To take pragmatic step toward the growth, development and sustainability of the economy of Alaigbo/igbo speaking states.
Mandate: Uniting Ndigbo and other resident citizens to form a formidable front for economic growth and prosperity of Alaigbo/Igbo speaking states
BRIEFHISTORY OF ALAIGBO:
Alaigbo constitutes the single largest ethnic group in the world and geographically. Ndigbo, by reason of studies, can be said to be occupying the Centre of the earth. Alaigbo the indigenous home of Igbo people that is made of Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi and Igbo speaking areas of Bayelsa. Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo, Benue, Delta and Rivers States. Ndigbo are Known all over the world for their doggedness, resilience, hard work and industriousness. The foregoing steadily affords us the opportunity to celebrate individuals whose achievement have placed the Alaigbo on both national and global maps.
THE SUSTAINABILITY:
The Great Igbo Achievers, has urged each state governor of Alaigbo/Igbo speaking states to key into the “Igbo Think-Home Investment and Development Philosophy which encourages Ndigbo to bring back their investments to the Alaigbo Nation.
The Great Igbo Achievers is advocating and seeking to ensure that the states government and communities in Igbo Nation, provide lands to Ndigbo at highly subsidized rate, or on customary grant to foster the development of private establishment with the aim of creating employment thereby actualizing the ultimate goal of Igbo Nation becoming the Dubai of Africa (Akurulu Ulo N’ Alaigbo Amaka). This would encourage massive investments that would aggressively transform the Igbo Nation to economic power house of Africa.
MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA:
Membership is open to only major/critical stakeholders of purpose driven home investors as
partners in progress which is secured by appointment, nomination and election.
