Assassins behead Abia Labour chieftain

Hon. Maduka Zachary, a leader in the Abia State Labour Party (LP), was recently murdered and decapitated by assailants who remain at large. The lawmaker was reportedly decapitated and his head removed on Wednesday evening, according to reports from Ndiigboworldrwide.

Yesterday, a statement from Abia State Police Command spokesperson Maureen Chilaka confirmed the murder investigation has begun.

According to her, Zachary, also known as Power Zack, a 70-year-old native of Ezieke Akpukpa Uturu, was tragically murdered and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Uturu, Isuikwuato Local Council, reported the regrettable murder in a discreet information report.

While at a pub in the Amelechi Akpukpa Community, she claimed, “the late Nmaduka was violently attacked, shot, and beheaded by unidentified assailants.”

Police and military forces were mobilised together after hearing the tragic news, and his lifeless body was found not long after.

“Evidence was photographed on the spot, and the body was taken to Marist Mortuary Uturu without delay.”
