I am writing to you today with a proposal that I believe can bring immense development and create employment opportunities in the South East region of Nigeria. I kindly request you people’s attention and collaboration on this matter.
As you people are aware, the federal government recently passed a bill that permits states to undertake the construction of railways within their respective territories. This new development presents a unique opportunity for us to unite and work together towards a common goal – the construction of an electric railway that connects Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, Abia, and Enugu states.
Building an electric railway system in the South East will undoubtedly have a transformative impact on our region. Not only will it enhance transportation and provide efficient connectivity across the states, but it will also pave the way for economic growth and prosperity. The introduction of electric railway infrastructure will attract investments and positively contribute to our local economies. Moreover, it will ease the burden of transportation and reduce travel time, resulting in improved productivity and a better quality of life for our people.
Considering the immense benefits this project can bring, I would like to emphasize the importance of collaboration among the South East governors. By pooling our resources, knowledge, and expertise, we can successfully undertake this ambitious endeavor together. This includes engaging with local communities, businesses men for funding, and igbo professionals in the railway industry. Their expertise and insights will be invaluable in designing a railway system that meets the unique needs and aspirations of the South East.
