It is with sense of humility, joy and honor that I, on behalf of my family felicitates with our dear reverend Royal Father, a cerebral custodian of Igbo culture and traditional heritage, a father figure, a nationalist and a statesman, His Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe CFR, Mni, the 21st Obi of Onitsha as he clocks 82.

Agbogidi, since your ascension to the prestigious throne 21 years ago as the 21st Obi of Onitsha on your 61st birthday, you have displayed uncommon trait and candour as royalty personified being a true descendant of Ezechima, the founding Monarch of Onitsha Ado N’Idu with over 500 years of unbroken kingship.

Your Majesty, your life has been eventful, spanning from your sound educational background and in public service. Your reign on the throne has been legendary as a fountain of inspiration to us and generation yet unborn.
