Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen became the highest-scoring African player in Serie A after his winning goal for Napoli in their 1-0 win against Fiorentina.

Napoli won a penalty in the 72nd minute. And this time, Osimhen made no mistake, dispatching the ball calmly into the net to put Napoli in front and also become the highest-scoring African in Serie A history with 47 goals.

He was taken off for Giovanni Simeone in the 78th minute, and he was given a standing ovation. The game ended 1-0 in favor of Napoli.
