Gov. Otti did not file a lawsuit against Tinubu, FG — Abia government
The phony article that has been making the rounds on social media, particularly X (previously Twitter), claims that the governor has filed a lawsuit against President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian gov at the International Criminal Court (ICC). This has caught the attention of the Abia State Government.

Gov. Otti did not file a lawsuit against Tinubu, FG — Abia government
The state government responded to a false report claiming that Governor Otti had sued President Tinubu and the Federal Republic of Nigeria for allegedly turning down the governor’s request to build an international airport and seaport in Abia. The statement was sent by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor of Abia State, Kazie Uko.
The poorly written and fabricated story also claims that Governor Otti banned northern Nigerian residents from doing businesses in Abia State until the development of the aforementioned seaport and international airport received permission.
This deviously fabricated tale is wholly untrue. We are appreciative that the Federal Government included an airstrip in Abia in the current budget, but we are still working on the proposed seaport.
Because it is the product of idle rabble-rousers, the general public is, by this statement, encouraged to disregard the bogus report, treat it as trash, and throw it in the trash.
