Land Grabbing Allegation: Jeff Ukachukwu Replies COCEAN

The controversy surrounding the claims and counterclaims of land racketeering at Avu Mechanic Village has taken on a new dimension as the CEOs of PrimeWest Properties Nigeria Ltd., Prince Jeff Ukachukwu, and COCEAN Integrated Nigeria Ltd., Chief Ndubuisi Chinedu, have begun waging a verbal battle to clear their respective reputations in public.

According to a press release published by Unegbu Victor Wallace, Prince Ukachukwu’s media assistant, the remarks attributed to COCEAN Nig Ltd’s chief executive officer in many media sources are malicious, misleading, and intended to divert attention.

“The ongoing imbroglio between the comrade Kyrian Nnadi led Executive of the Imo State Chapter of Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association NATA and Chief Ndubuisi Chinedu CEO COCEAN Nigeria Integrated took a rather comic turn,” the release captioned, “Setting the Records Straight, Making Bare the Facts, Unmasking the Truth.” claims that Chinedu sponsored a botched media attack on Prince Jeff Ukachukwu, Chief Executive Officer of PrimeWest Properties Nigeria Limited, accusing him of removing the name of the Governor in order to illegally grab land at the Avu Mechanic Village.

Jeff Ukachukwu Replies COCEAN on Land Grabbing Allegation

In addition to being completely untrue, this defamatory article aims to undermine the governor of Imo State’s attempts to combat land racketeering in the state. The simplest way to characterize this regrettable media attack on Jeff Ukachukwu is as childish, sycophantic showmanship.

Normally, this pathetic attempt by the CEO of COCEAN Nigeria Integrated would have been disregarded and allowed to fade with the passage of time, but it is imperative to clear the air, expose the truth, and lay bare the facts—if only for the benefit of the public, who blindly accept whatever is fed to them without taking the time to conduct an exhaustive and in-depth fact-check.

opposed his attempt to construct on the site, time ran out, and a new one appeared. He promptly went to the new chairman, Mr. Ugwoegbu, also known as Bishop, and is said to have seduced him and his new executive team with empty, pretentious promises to transform the mechanic town into Dubai.

In blatant defiance of the directive of the State Executive of NATA, which is the overseeing body of all mechanics in Imo State and has oversight administrative powers over the allocation and development of any piece of land or space within the Avu Mechanic Village Land from phase 1 to phase 3, Chief Ndubuisi Chinedu was permitted to return to the site and continue the construction of that illegal structure in the name of building a training school for CNG by this new executive, led by Mr. Ugwoegbu, aka Bishop.

It is therefore callous for bishops or any other mechanics or local chapters to rebel against the mother body NATA or attempt in any way to thwart the original plan of the Avu Mechanic Village, as the said portion where Chief Ndubuisi Chinedu is erecting his illegal structure is the space allotted for the building of the state secretariat of NATA according to the mechanic village development plan.

Chief Ndubuisi Chinedu resorted to media blackmail and image tarnishing after the Executive of NATA Imo State Chapter led by Kyrian Nnadi recently expressed resistance. This led to a petition to the Commissioner of Police, wherein Chief Ndubuisi accused Prince Jeff Ukachukwu of using his biological relationship with the Governor to racket lands. In actuality, however, Prince Jeff Ukachukwu’s high integrity has been a major obstacle to Chief Ndubuisi’s bid to build in Avu Mechanic Village.

In Owerri, it is well-known that Chief Ndubuisi Chinedu, CEO of COCEAN Nigeria Integrated, lacks the perfect public persona to compete with Prince Jeff Ukachukwu. Because of this, his latest attempt to disparage Prince Jeff Ukachukwu is petty, naughty, and a sign of his desperation.

Chief Ndubuisi Chinedu accuses Prince Jeff Ukachukwu of deleting the governor’s name, but Prince Ukachukwu has been the official developer of Avu Mechanic Village since 2018, which is two years before Senator Hope Uzodimma became Imo State’s governor. This shows how low he will go to further his desire to seize land at the expense of the law’s statutory position.
