IPOB criticizes DHQ for declaring leader wanted.

The Nigerian military authorities have come under fire from the Indigenous People of Biafra for designating their Head of State, Chika Edoziem, as sought along with other “terrorists” and “bandits.”

IPOB criticizes DHQ for declaring leader wanted.

The pro-Biafran organization claimed it is offensive to the IPOB international family to associate Edoziem’s name with other “bandits” and “terrorists.”

This was said in a statement released on Sunday by spokesperson Emma Powerful, who vowed that the group would not allow extortion from the federal government to dissuade them from their self-determination struggle to bring back the Biafra homeland.

The message said, “The Nigerian military headquarters’ completely reckless attitude is linked to our gentle leader, Mazi Chika Edoziem, by linking Simon Ekpa, Zuma, Temple, and others.” With the exception of Edoziem, IPOB has long since distanced itself from every other person included on the wanted list.

“IPOB has separated itself from that era, and we are not connected to either vampires or criminals. Our people are guaranteed not to be misled or harmed for any reason by IPOB globally. The Nigerian Defense Headquarters demonstrated their confusion on IPOB recruits and operators as well as the ESN.

“The Head of the Directorate of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Chika Edoziem, is a calm and composed leader who has guided IPOB in a nonviolent manner for more than ten years, adhering to the United Nations’ insistence that self-determination be achieved through a referendum.”

Edoziem “has not been associated with any crime or violence, neither in Biafra land nor in the diaspora,” according to the organization. The Nigerian military’s declaration of his wanted status among dangerous terrorists and criminals is akin to the Federal Government’s use of violent repression tactics against the Biafran people and the fight for self-determination.

The security agencies in Nigeria are aware that Simon Ekpa is the leader of the violent criminal group operating in the South-East. The perpetrators are not volunteers from ESN, and they are not under the leadership of our supreme leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, or Mazi Chika Edoziem.

According to IPOB, Simon Ekpa was used by the Federal Government to recruit those offenders. They infiltrated and blackmailed IPOB with their help, but we caught and exposed them early. Despite this, IPOB has repeatedly distanced itself from them, but the Federal Government continues to connect itself with IPOB/ESN in order to fulfill its goal of extortion.

The group went on to challenge the Federal Government to explain what offense Edoziem had committed in order for him to be listed as wanted. They also said that Edoziem was listed among bandits and terrorists in order to demonize him in front of the world because his leadership had thwarted all attempts to destroy the IPOB family.

To associate Mazi Chika Edoziem’s name with terrorists and bandits is to denigrate the IPOB international family. The intelligence on individuals responsible for the instability in the Southeast is possessed by the Federal Government and its armed forces.

“We will never be dissuaded from our commitment to Biafra self-determination by the current wave of media blackmail and propaganda.” We have committed no crimes in our quest of Biafra self-determination, thus the prospect of our leaders’ imprisonment won’t dissuade us, the statement said.
