Owerri—On Thursday, the Imo state House of Assembly considered eleven commissioner nominees that Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state had submitted to the House.

The screening procedure was led by State Assembly Speaker Chike Olemgbe and was held in the sacred chamber of the Imo State House of Assembly complex, which is situated along Port Harcourt Road in Owerri.
Following the screening of eleven applicants, the nominees were reviewed in phases. The Speaker stated that one contender, Mrs. Nkechi Ugwu, who was not present in the country, was screened digitally.
The most recent commissioners for information and strategy, Declan Emelumba, works, Ralph Nwosu, and digital economy, Chimezie Amadi, were among the shortlisted candidates.
The Imo State House of Assembly Speaker, Olemgbe, announced the names of the nominees who showed up for the screening.
They are: Hon. Declan Emelumba; Hon. Chimezie Amadi; Hon. Ralph Nwosu; Hon. Bede Ekeh; Chief Cosmas Madauba; Dr. Chika Benson Abazu; Ozo Obinna Ogwuegbu; Hon. Osakwe Modestus; Hon. Anyanwu Anselem Ezechinyere; Barr. Emenike Ejikeme Chuks major; Hon. Onyeoha Obinna Evaristus; and Hon. Mrs. Nkechi Ugwu.
