
Guinness, a renowned beer brand in the country, has consistently supported and celebrated the extraordinary women of the August Meeting. This event serves as a tribute to Igbo women, encompassing individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
In alignment with its mission to empower and advocate, Guinness partnered with the August Meeting women to highlight the exceptional accomplishments of women in diverse Igbo communities.
In the 2023 edition of the Meeting, Guinness provided support to 250 women representing various communities in Imo, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, and Abia states. The women were provided with mobile business infrastructure and tools, which empowered them to thrive in business ownership and reach their full potential.In order to provide entertainment for the sophisticated women attending the August meeting, Guinness arranged for the inclusion of exceptional music and dynamic dancers. The Guinness experience was further enhanced by the provision of trays containing Igbo delicacies and chilled Guinness beverages.
Mark Mugisha, the Marketing and Innovation Director at Guinness Nigeria Plc, provided an explanation regarding the involvement of Guinness in facilitating the August Meeting.
