
In a recent development, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has disclosed the apprehension of five individuals on August 24, 2023. These individuals stand accused of engaging in fraudulent activities by utilizing counterfeit letterheads from the Offices of the National Security Adviser and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice. Their alleged motive was to deceitfully acquire funds from unsuspecting members of the public.
In a recent development, the list of suspects in question has been revealed. The individuals under investigation are identified as Mr. Yakubu Mohammed, Mr. Bashir Ladan, Mr. Adamu Ibrahim, Mr. Steven Anom, and Mr. Mohammed Bello.

EFCC
In an email correspondence on Monday, Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesperson for the EFCC, revealed that they allegedly conspired and utilized letterheads to create counterfeit employment and recommendation letters for a fee. These letters were then sold to unsuspecting members of the public.
According to the EFCC, it has been further stated that the suspects will face charges in court once the investigation into the matter is completed.
