Biafra Nationalists: We are concerned about the state of instability in Southeast
This message was delivered to Vanguard by the pro-Biafra organization via Nneka Loveth Nzegwu, the Public Relations Officer (PRO).
They held the following among other opinions: “The Indigenous People of Igbo Nation for Self-determination (IPINS) and the Igbo-Biafra Nationalists Movement (IBN) are gravely worried about the rising State-sponsored insecurity in Alaigbo/South East/Igbo-Biafra. Concerned Imo State citizens have recently reported a concerning trend: an increase in “strange hunters” who may be Fulani in origin. According to reports, these people are being driven and dropped into a number of villages in the state, including Avu and Obinze in the Owerri-West Local Government Area.
Furthermore, it was previously revealed by the Biafra Human Rights Advocates (BHRA) that the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore had been covertly deploying its armed Fulani herdsmen throughout Nigeria, especially in the South East/Igbo-Biafra region, in order to further their nefarious and conspiratorial agenda against host communities. The presence of these armed people in our communities is a serious threat to their safety and security, and it needs to be handled immediately.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president of Nigeria, has command responsibility for these atrocities and can no longer pretend they are not crimes against humanity. Bola Ahmed Tinubu must be held responsible as he is incapable of holding these criminals accountable. It is imperative to hold individuals in positions of authority and influence accountable for their deeds—or lack thereof—in tackling the serious security threats confronting our country.
“We won’t fall for the ploys of premeditated or planned arrests of people like Bello Bodeje, the president of the cattle rearers. The purpose of these arrests is only to create a distraction from the real problem, which is the planned campaign of violence and intimidation being carried out by some politicians and their sympathizers.
“We urge all citizens of Imo State, Alaigbo, and Nigeria to stand together and be watchful in the face of these nefarious attempts to render our country uninhabitable. In opposition to those who would jeopardize our security and tranquility for their own personal benefit, we must unite as a nation.
“The Igbo-Biafra Nationalists Movement is unwavering in its dedication to protecting our people and our territory against both external aggression and internal subterfuge,” the organization declared.
