The Labour Party candidates in Delta North senatorial district (Anioma) said yesterday that they were inspired by how Peter Obi did as governor of Anambra State. Obi is the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
They said that they saw Peter Obi perform in Anambra State. They were led by Ken Kanma, who is running for senator in the district.
At the start of the Labour Party’s Delta North senatorial campaign in Asaba, Kanma said that because Anambra State is so close, the people of Anioma did not hear about Peter Obi’s change in the nearby state in the news.
“Peter Obi gave me the idea to follow him.” “You know Anioma is very close to Anambra. We saw what he did there. We didn’t read about it in the news. We are witnesses to his performance, which is why we are following him,” he said.
He said that Nigerians still had hope for Peter Obi in 2023 and that the Labour Party’s platform had the answers to the many problems that the country was facing.
Kanma told Nigerians that the only way Nigeria could get out of its current mess was if they voted for all Labour Party candidates in all elections.
Kanma said that if he were elected senator, his main job would be to make sure that the bills that support the Labour Party’s platform are passed.
He said, “The answer to insecurity isn’t magic; we’ll get people to start protecting themselves, and we’re looking into community policing.” The only way to end widespread hunger is to stop consuming and start making things.
“The production maxim says that in Delta North, we will make money for the people.” Delta North needs to become a place that people want to go.
“We will build infrastructure so that investors will come to the area and create jobs.” “Our goal is to make sure that Delta North is well represented.”
