According to them, Governor Ugwuanyi has performed admirably in office, and his achievements in Enugu State, particularly in the Nsukka Zone, are unprecedented.
The Catholic women of Nsukka also supported other PDP candidates in the state, including the governorship candidate Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, his running mate Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, and the candidate for the Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency, Engr. Vita Abba.
According to them, the citizens of the Enugu North Senatorial District, also known as the Nsukka senatorial zone, have experienced the positive effects of Governor Ugwuanyi's administration. In addition, they stated that the Nsukka zone has never experienced the same level of progress as it has under the current administration.
The women noted that the primary purpose of the visit was to commend the governor for his laudable achievements in the Nsukka Zone, which, according to them, he has transformed.
Tuesday, when she led representatives of the CWO, Nsukka Diocese, to pay a solidarity visit to Governor Ugwuanyi at the Government House, Enugu, the president of the body, Dr. Mrs. Stella Ekwueme, told the governor that the women are impressed with the numerous development projects of his administration in Nsukka zone and are confident that he will attract more projects to the zone and provide quality representation for the people if elected to the senate.
Dr. Ekwueme assured Governor Ugwuanyi of the overwhelming support and votes of the Catholic women during the 2023 elections, stating, "All the projects you have done and are doing, we are seeing them; Nsukka has seen the light under your administration; Nsukka is very happy, and we are now proud to be from Nsukka."
Our greatest source of happiness is that our son is thriving in Enugu State. The era of oppression against a Nsukka man in the state of Enugu has ended due to your superior and people-focused leadership. Therefore, we thank you and praise God for you.
"Therefore, when the subject of who will represent us in the Senate arises, we consider the adage that the devil you know is preferable to the angel you do not know." Therefore, we are attempting to determine if it is our brother (Ugwuanyi) or someone else we know. This is why we supported Ugwuanyi, and we will continue to do so.
The CWO President lauded Governor Ugwuanyi for his administration's empowerment programs and rural development initiatives, revealing that the residents of Nsukka received their fair share.
Other speakers at the event, including Dr. Mrs. Uche Ekwueme (CWO Vice President), Mrs. Obioma Ogbodo (Secretary), Mrs. Fidelia Mamah (Member), and Mrs. Evelyn Ogbonna (Member), all spoke in the same vein, praising Governor Ugwuanyi's good works in Nsukka Zone and assuring him of their unwavering support for his candidacy to represent Enugu
The women praised the governor for other landmark projects of his administration outside the Nsukka zone, such as the flyover bridge at the T-junction of Nike Lake Road in Enugu, stating that the project has reduced traffic congestion in the region.
They assured Governor Ugwuanyi that they would play vital roles as the family's pillars to ensure that he and other PDP candidates in the state would be victorious at the ballot box.
At the event were the PDP candidate for the Nsukka/Igbo-Eze North South Federal Constituency, Engr. Abba, and the Commissioner for Special Duties, the Honorable Mrs. Mabel Agbo.
