Afreximbank Provides $1.5 Billion To Uzodinma To Improve Imo State’s Infrastructure
The African Export-Import Bank, or Afrexim Bank, plans to spend $1.5 billion in a number of Imo State industries. The goal of the investment is to improve infrastructure, promote job creation, and boost economic growth in the state.

The investment was made possible by the successful negotiations that the Governor, Hope Uzodimma, had with Afrexim Bank representatives during her recent visit to Cairo, Egypt.
Uzodimma and a group of important government officials presented Imo State’s development priorities and underlined the potential for investment in areas including infrastructure, agriculture, and energy during the meeting.

The discussions focused on how to use Afrexim’s financial resources and knowledge to promote long-term economic growth in the region.
During the meeting, the governor said, “Our goal is to accelerate development in Imo State and create opportunities for our citizens,” expressing optimism in drawing large investments to the state. Working together with Afrexim Bank is a special opportunity to realize our objectives and realize the state’s full potential.
